MADAD is the Ministry of External Affairs' online consular grievance and services portal — a single place for Indian citizens abroad (and their families back home) to register complaints, request emergency assistance, or track a consular case.
Track grievance status online, avoid repeated phone calls to the embassy, get a reference number for follow-up, and reach the right consular desk directly instead of guessing which office handles your issue.
Create a free account on the MADAD portal with your email and basic details, then log a grievance under the relevant category (passport, visa, emergency, welfare, etc.) with your travel and passport details.
Select your case type, choose the Indian mission handling your region, describe the issue, and attach supporting documents (passport copy, police report, etc. as relevant) — you'll get a tracking ID by email.
For a lost or stolen passport, file a local police report first, then contact the nearest Indian mission (see the embassy cards above) — they can issue an Emergency Certificate to allow travel back to India while your new passport is processed.
